This project was about celebrating only one material in design. I chose brick to work with. The design is about the nature of brick and how it comes from earth.

This interactive sculpture is supposed to set on the NCSU campus. My design intends to present the nature of brick from clay to hard brick blocks. The design has a solid exterior to present a rigid form of bricks, but as soon as a person enters the interior of sculpture, a sense of softness may be presented by free form of curves. By curves, I wanted to show the clay side of bricks and presented soul of brick, which creates very different sense of places.
